Midnight Lace Obsidian - also known as striped obsidian - is formed volcanically by the rapid cooling of silica-rich lava. As the lava flows, fine ore particles are deposited in layers in the still liquid rock. These natural deposits form the typical lamellar stripes that give the transparent to dark Obsidian its fascinating structure.
The contrasting stripes make each donut unique. The smooth, round shape makes it ideal for wearing on a leather strap or chain.
