The drilled tumbled stones made of Midnight Lace Obsidian (approx. 3.5 cm) impress with their special, naturally banded structure. Midnight Lace Obsidian - also known as striped obsidian - is a special variety of Obsidian in which fine layers and stripes are visible in the rock. This lamellar pattern makes each stone a unique natural product.
Midnight Lace Obsidian is formed volcanically by the rapid cooling of silica-rich lava flows. While the lava is still in motion, fine layers of ore are deposited in the transparent to dark Obsidian. These natural deposits form the characteristic fine stripes and lamellae that give the stone its distinctive appearance.
The drilled Tumbled Stone is ideal as a pendant for necklaces or leather straps. Thanks to its smooth, polished surface, the stone lies comfortably in the hand and shows its natural structure particularly beautifully.
