The window beads made of black Onyx (dyed) have a diameter of 8mm.
The onyx strands are 40cm long and are strung together for transportation. We recommend always replacing the transportation thread with suitable knotting material.
The name Onyx is derived from the Greek word "onyx" for "nail"; presumably this name, which has been in use for many centuries, refers to the surface of the polished stone, which is reminiscent of shiny fingernails. Spellings such as onix or onyk are therefore incorrect.
